These shoes have a lot of memories...it's not just the pretty sequins or the comfort, it's the places these shoes have seen that make them so special.
So if someone says your favorite shoes are falling apart, they're lying...your shoes have simply been through a lot. Yes, yes, sounds corny...bare with me...sometimes life gets a little corny.
