Stranded in the downpour...

Yesterday was absolutely gorgey out!!
Twas also my beautiful Mummy's birthday!
She had a lovely day...and i had a lovely day with the Lovely.

Whilst Mum was enjoying goodies at work for her birfday, Lovely and i walked to a little café downtown for lunch, running into a few people we knew. Then we headed to the park for a few pictures....such a beautiful day for a walk.

Lovely looks ever so ravishing in his cardi! Cardis look so nice on men...it shows they've put some effort into their look without really trying. In other words, it pulls it together niiiiiiiiiiiicely.

And i simply love cardis. So. Damn. Comfy.

The look is priceless. Hands down, favorite pic of the day.

My Mum was right....a little lipstick adds a nice pop of color. I've started wearing it more often. I told Lovely about the proper procedure my Sissy taught me...chapstick, lipstick, blot, lipgloss.

I'm not very good at makeup, usually sticking with basics, but i think i have the lips down pat.

The wind started blowing....Lovely gave me his cardi to keep me warm.

I'm not one to take off my heels....but i love walking in the grass! ...and i realized now i had underestimated the walk and however adorable, these shoes weren't made for walkin'

We took a shortcut home....across the field over which i had walked so many times in childhood to and from the community pool.

Have you ever listened to Young the Giant?? Love, love, love! I'll leave you with this as i go read for English. It's pouring out and seems like a good day to snuggle inside....now that i've read Mockingjay, i must stop procrastinating on reading View from Lazy Point :(

Peanut Butter and Red Velvet

Such a busy busy weekend past few days!! I realized that in the past few days, Sunday was the only one actually a part of the weekend....on spring break, every day is the weekend!

Apologizing in advance for all of les photos de moi....this is the result of being busy without really doing all that much and not updating daily! Perhaps a lot of pics is a good thing, though...

Mum and I did a bit of shopping and errand running...new dress and hairclips and a swimsuit top! All the more incentive to get my lazy bum back into proper shape. I couldn't find the other black glove in the glove bin...and the others did not match at all so i opted for the PowerPuff Girl gloves. Totally awesome :)

Pink streak from Breast Cancer Awareness month still noticeable!

Presenting....my new haircolor! The color streak had been the only hair dye I'd had in my hair. It looks a bit purple-y in the pics, but it's a vibrant dark red! Soooo excited! I can't help but gush about how much i love the color!

This chubby sweetheart is Keiko the cat. He and Ted don't get along very well...but they're both cute in their own way. Oh, Keiko, how i've missed you.

Yesterday was a bit of a lazy day....threw on some skinnies with a blue babydoll tank that was hidden in my closet and my yellow cardi. Ever have those newer things that you just wear and wear and wear?? That seems to be my cardi...because it's a great color and because i don't have any other cardis here.

Who said redheads can't wear red?? They compliment one another juuuuust fine. Pop of color sur mes lèvres look très chic avec la chemise de Lovely.
side note: I want to learn more French!!! I've only had minimal exposure...next year i shall hopefully be taking two languages! (continuing mit Deutsch and beginning avec plus de Français.

Oh, what a night. Yes, yes, it doesn't seem like i've done much....but it's been an interesting day. I didn't bother putting on shoes since the only time i wore any was when i went outside for the mail.

Tomorrow is Mummy's birthday!!! And Heidi Ho is spending the night...and Lovely and i may be going for a photoshoot outside in the potentially gorgey weather!

Hello, 60s and sunshine!

Yesterday I made the trek home....I was just too pooped to update! I came home, unloaded my car, dragging everything in during the rain grumble grumble, ate some real food (aka delish homemade tacos!!), and started unpacking/cleaning up my room before Kurtis came to visit. phew

I accidently slept through my alarm Thursday morning...so I was subconsciously paranoid I would miss my Friday morning alarm. How does my brain react?? It woke me up at 7....and then every consecutive 10 mins after that until my 8:20 alarm. Oh, my...thank goodness I had a Monster in the fridge! I rarely drink energy drinks...so this one really reacted with me. I was sooo hyper, I could hardly contain myself in Deutschklasse.

I was ready for class after this....

Today we had our annual brunch to jointly celebrate Mummy and Nana's birthdays! They're two days apart so we always have a get together to celebrate! Nana, Gramps, and my cousins, Emily and Olivia, came here to celebrate....

We had a great time! Went to eat....Fajer had the rheuben :P  Meatball sub was delish! Then we went back to my house and the girlies and I played around with my guitars and sang.

I'm feeling better about myself...I ran 2 1/2 miles this morning! I felt gooooood. Along with my crunches...i love doing crunches in the morning. It feels awesome.

This is bad. Perhaps it is because i'm home, but i seem to be tired at such early hours :(

I'm off to work on ethics paper before hitting my lovely bed sheets...oh, how i've missed my bed! ....which Olivia told me was small. A twin size bed fits juuuuust right for one! I'm a snuggler anyways so Mr. Hippy and i don't need much space.

I'm often questioned on my partiality to sad songs and rather not-so-uppity themes about which I write in my hidden poems...hmmm I'm a happy person. I simply love sad songs in when I'm tickled pink. Some are simply very catchy....

Oh poo, I hate it when this happens. I find myself formulating ideas, thoughts, things I may want to discuss on here, and then as soon as I sit down to type, my brain is overcome with a billion other thoughts and I simply cannot remember or it just sounds cheesy. What a pain.

Today is Thursday, though, and I simply love love love Thursdays! Sorry if i seem repetitive when i'm always going on and on and on about Thursdays...they're just lovely days. It's a bit nippy noodles out, but other than that, a fairly nice day.

I didn't think my headband was visible, so i was trying to push it out. I think it can be seen now...

I'm really loving my socks...thank you, Sissy! Pairing them with my b&w Steve Maddens....again.

Katie had a French test today....it reminded me how much I miss French independent study class from senior year with Frau/Madam.

I'm off to dinner now and then some more studying for accounting....3 more classes til break! Then the 3 hour trek home. Why must it be a 3?? I'm not an overly big fan of that number. There's something about it...but maybe I'm just a weirdie haha

Sore thighs and eyes

I accidentally grabbed my eyeball when extracting my left contact.....ow. Lovely way to end my leap year day. For some reason, the right one is the one aching. I don't understand, eyes!

I spent the last two or three hours or so watching Bones with Kyle, Jess's beau. Goodness, that show is addictive! It's that good!

Today was no pants Wednesday...technically, leggings are NOT pants. So....I did not wear pants today :)
I shrunk my dress a bit in the dang dryer so it's been changed into a tunic...

My legs are becoming stronger...hopefully. At any rate, they were sore today! I feel like such a lazy bum for not getting my lazy bum to the gym today! Tomorrow morning I shall be going over....briiiiiiight and early for workout!

It's getting late.....sorry for the lateness of this post! I've been working on things, and made a quick shopping trip, then off to watch Bones with Kyle to relax and chitchat off into the night.

Gossip Girl

I'm a bit behind on Gossip Girl....but Kina Grannis's The One You Say Goodnight To was on the Valentine's Day episode!! I'm not too far behind....

Today I was greatly annoyed meh. I was just in angry mode today. Frustration got the best of me....even the gym didn't help! Eventually, I took it out on the pile of work in the mailroom at work and on my ethics paper....the real root of the frustration! Perfectionism at its finest :P

I'm feeling muchy much better (yes, I know "muchy" isn't a word....)
I've been thinking about Nietzsche and Socrates all day, please forgive me.

I tripped in my stockings when I ran to open the door.....conflabbit.

I've done what I can with my paper...time to relax a little and confine myself to my bed so as not to fall down anymore.
