Lemme buy you a drink

Not sure why the lyrics of that song popped into my head...

Wanted to write up a lovel-E Mother's Day post on Sunday but i found myself spending time with lovel-E mothers and Lovely so did not make it online...Mummy wouldn't take up the offer of me cooking for her [i'm really not sure why since i can't actually cook!] so we went out for Chinese since she loves it so much.

I visited with my Grammie for a while and caught up with her and Pap Pap. Not a very seemingly over-exciting day, i know, but when you spend it with loved ones, that's how that really matters.

top: vintage; belt: Candie's; skirt: Maz Azria; earrings: NYC street vendor; purse: thrifted; sneakers: Steve Madden

Bared a little skin today....nothing wrong with that. This top is part of a matching skirt/top set that was my Nana's. How schweet is that?

Here's a close-up of the shirt Lovely made for me. I love me some Pokémon, especially Dragonite! The whole evolution line is awesome....Dratini and Dragonair are so graceful and then Dragonite comes out, majestic and strong as butt as dragons usually are. Look at me, how poetic about Pokémon...

Yesterday we went shopping....simple yet more dressed up than shorts and a tee. The general notion of shopping is correct: if you feel good, you'll have a good time. Paired this with Louis [my Louis Vuitton purse] and gold Mossimo gladiator sandals from two years ago. Simple pimple.

Despite the rain, it was a pretty great day. We sold some clothes to Plato's Closet then did a little shopping at the mall. Ladies, you know he's a keeper when he brings the car to you at the mall door and opens your door with an umbrella so you don't get soaked from the rain.

I may have to chop my leg off. Dang bug bites. It's only May and i'm already bug food! Off to bed now....red streaks from scratching too dang hard. . . .

Ketchup.

phew....so first year of college under my belt now and 2 1/2 years to go :D (hopefully). Next year shall be an overload year with 6 classes, or 18 credits, then it's off to London for fall semester of my junior year!

Monday i went to work and worked a few extra hours....

Tuesday was a pants day....had very few things left in my closet at that point. Worked and packed and studied macro as though my life depended upon it and finished my ethics paper. Oh, and Jess left after her final :/  .....what a creepy night alone in my near-empty room. It seriously echoed.

I'm happy to be home, i must say....after my macro final [which only took me half hour to take! woot woot!] i jumped in my car and headed to Sonic for a jr burger [everything but mayo or pickle, ick] and their new cookie dough blast and went to Nana's for the night! It was nice just catching my breath and catching up with her...i played the Sims3 for hours as my "reward" of sorts. Then headed back to that small town in which i grew up....

I had "real" food when i came home! ....after i visited Lovely at work, of course. He came over later and we watched In Time with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried and called it a night....

Friday night we started watching Abduction with Taylor Lautner and then went on our first summer date! Call me cheesy, but i love going out...Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp and Chloë Moretz = awesome. Johnny Depp is clearly an incredible actor. Chloë is a great up-and-coming actress and made me laugh with her crass in this film :)

Tonight was promenade....goodness, has it really been a year??
You know it's prom season when you're the whitest kid around....my vampire tan is so hardcore.

This shot of Lovely creepin' on my Mummy is priceless.

I love to grill....if this international business thing doesn't work out, i'm available for grilling and painting nails. And dyeing hair. My Mummy dyed my hair again. Dang auburn...fades too easily -_- there's a big difference between how it looked before and afterwards.

Lovely loves my piggy nose. Not the most flattering pic, but look at that BA shirt! Lovely made me a v-neck with a silhouette of Dragonite on it! How flippin' schweet is that? I plan on playing Pokémon with him this summer. Don't judge meh, s'il vous plâit.

Out for a stroll after dinner....needed to return our movies and rent some new ones and stopped for nom noms at McDonald's: milkshake for Lovely and smoothie for me.

Things I've missed whilst being away:

....showering without flip-flops. I absolutely hate flip-flops.
....my Mummy's cooking aka "real" food.
....sleeping in a bed that does not squeak/does not have mystery stains.
....driving
....Meadows frozen custard
....my room, despite it still holding a few boxes i have yet to unpack.
....having my full wardrobe at my disposal.
....Ted.
....falling asleep, knowing there is a slim chance of a late-night fire drill.
....getting ready in bathroom that is not shared by 20+ girls.
....grilling!
....my Fajer and Mum. They crack me up and make my day. Sure, they drive me nuts from time to time as parents tend to do, but i love 'em to death.

Things i have not missed:

....strange congregating teenagers at the theatre. Pretty sure my Mum would have beat me [figuratively] if i acted like that.
....rude people.
....having to get up really early [will be soon....]

P.S. I'm a rebel, haven't you heard? Hahaha

P.P.S. Pretty sure i wouldn't know how to be a rebel if i tried. Except for my hair...i do what i want. Rebellious teen, that's me.

God's Day Off

That is the title of my most recent paper....recent as in i just finished it literally two minutes ago. It's a research topic paper in favor of the choice in abortion. Please note that I use "choice." I believe that no matter one's ethical views on the issue, it is still a woman's choice. That's all I'll say on the matter...leave you to your thoughts on that matter.

Have you ever tried a Prezi presentation?? They're so much fun! I'm using that for my English presentation on aforementioned topic. Haven't used it since last year so hopefully i don't totally mess things up....

These past few weeks shall be busy busy. Classes wrapping up, accounting quiz tomorrow for which i haven't started studying. oops. ValleyFest this weekend! More on that later...

I made my head-band by following Kinsey of Sincerely Kinsey using this tutorial. Yesterday i skipped the overhead piece in favor of just the simple band. Pretty hippie/boho vibe...with leopard print shoes. I love Steve Madden shoes.

I painted my nails! First attempt at using tape as a buffer to make shapes...not too shabby. I got the idea from Pinterest. I'm not about to open my own nail art business anytime soon, but my limited skills are serving their purpose for me...

I'm just excited i finally found a white nail polish that is opaque! Pure Ice Superstar :) [brand&name of nail polish]

Today i rolled my red skinnies and rocked my I <3 Nutella shirt that i had shown in a previous blog. Boring, perhaps....i was in a hurry this morning. excuses, excuses

Yesterday i donated blood so i put on a band-aid over my hole this morning.

Obi-Wan Kenobi. I love Star Wars.

Oh goodness....i feel productive today! Ethics is done, English paper done, German is done, accounting....need to study, macro is done. Woot woot!

Off to work on my Prezi presentation now.

P.S. I just discovered what "Labels" meant. heh heh heh
A little slow on my behalf....eyeroll acceptable on that one haha

Young, Wild, and Free

Back at LVC...currently watching Raising Helen when i should be reading some ethics...and contemplating economic ethics...hmmm i'll get to that, i swear!

I need to show my new hairstyle :)  ...and Nutella shirt! ...and shorts!

Firstly...Easter pic!

Lovely looks so serious whilst driving....

The ducks were coming up to us :)

Making friends with the duckies!

Perhaps it wasn't the smartest idea to wear shorts today....but they were my new ones and i really really wanted to wear them! A bit nippy noodles out...

Oversize Hanes-turned-tank top with an iron-on heart and a handdrawn Nutella jar. I found an idea for the homemade headband on Sincerely Kinsey's blog.

A goodie from my Easter basket...so cute! Fanks, Mummy!

Lovely is one of my best friends.  Yes, one can have multiple best friends...perhaps highly recommended?

I had a great time at home...caught up with my family and saw my Sissy and some friends and Lovely and i took picatures and goofed off as usual and i have sooo many "and's" in there! Sorry...

Time for love making....aka dark chocolate meets peanut butter!! Mmmm how delicious! I had a yummy sandwich with leftover Easter ham. Missing my Mummy's cooking already :/

I have some procrastination to end...starting classes again tomorrow afternoon. Goodness, only a few more weeks left of my first year of college!
