Make sure to keep my distance

....say i love you when you're not listening"

Christina Perri song type of day. I slept well until sudden wake-up call....bad start but had some lovely conversations with Jess and all was fine...swimming laps certainly helped, too. Morning workout and discussion with my adviser will start the day off quite well!

Goodness, it's only Tuesday tomorrow!

Polka dots and Star Wars tee :)

Spiked shoes...i love them!

Hanging out with Jess and Haivy tonight, discussing the usual girl topics. I love chill moments of just de-stressing from an awfully pooey day.

Missing my Sissy.....

Sunshine, daisy, buttermellow

.....turn that stupid fat rat yellow!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was on ABC Family today! Yes, i know, i know, that line is from Sorcerer's Stone, but the sunshine outside is sooo pretty and yesterday in Baltimore was absolutely gorgey!

Pics pics pics!

We painted our nails to be festive (Mum loves that word). And wore our matching leaf rings from Aldo.

...aka bookworm heaven

Jess's delish cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory

....and mine in a massive container

Mmmmm

Sitting on the pier at Inner Harbor....it was so beautiful outside!

I found a picture of a penguin in the aquarium and thought of my Sissy...

The lighting inside the aquarium wasn't the best for camera...i didn't like having the nasty flash in my pics! But the blurred edges fit the angler fish quite well. They are rather scary...

Bottle-nose dolphin show! Yes, it was catered towards 5 yr olds...but i loved it nonetheless! Dolphins are such graceful creatures.

Jess, Nicole, and me...oh, i miss it already! I love taking mini breaks from school...i can't wait to travel more.

We were quite sad to leave....the day had been wonderful!

Now for the anecdote of the day...we were leaving the aquarium and a lady said: "pull down your skirt, your undies are hanging out." I turned around, mortified, because i had just been wondering if anyone could see up my skirt on the escalator (random thoughts when one wears a skirt).  The lady had been speaking to her little girl....hahaha it seems silly now but it was funny/embarrassing all at the same time. Naturally, my friends laughed at me.

And so ended the Baltimore trip...wah.
Danced it up at the UG and made new friends last night! Hoooooo-ra to being a social butterfly!

Inner Harbor...ready to swim?

Yesterday i was just so pooped....i have a lot of English to do. I tackled it head-on and accomplished quite a bit, but i still have so much to do! That was my morning vent haha

Oh! Yesterday's outfit! I felt so cute with my pigtails again! Decked it out with my feather headband that my friend Melissa had given me for Xmas.

Jess and I are heading to Inner Harbor at noon through the school! I'm super excited! I've never been there and there shall be lovely pic opportunities....ploughing through some more English before then.

Oh, bother...

Happy St. Patty's Day!

My bestie, Heidi, is full-blooded Irish so I'm sure she's going all out :)

A dream is a wish....

"A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep..."

I'm giddy as a little girl.

It is after 11 after all....much too late for me to think rationally at times....i've been reading and writing journal entries for too long. My brain needs a rest from this book...it's interesting, i guess, but i'm not all that into it so it's hard to force myself to read it. Forced reading is the worst kind.

I'm excited...my 10am is cancelled so i can work on more English homework. Yays! Well...it's rather bittersweet anyways. I'd rather go to the gym, but work awaits. Oh, joy.

I wore the espadrilles from break today! My tootsies survived and the pop of hot pink looked ever so niiiiiiice.

Fairly unadorned today...opted for two simple rings. One is silver with a large black stone and the other is a bulbous plastic yellow ring that used to be my Mummy's. 80s jewelry is making a comeback. Maybe...it looks cool at least.

I must head to bed soon...i have come to immensely value sleep in college.

Sunshine without a tan

I was able to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful sunshine today!

It was absolutely gorgey outside today...i had class at 10, did some homework and enjoyed a nice lunch and made some new friends, class til 4, and stayed outside for a while with friends, doing homework and having a lovely time.  Twas a busy day....classes and a meeting and a speaker presentation, oh my! Hopefully tomorrow shall be a little less crazy.

Spiked shoes came out today! They were a hit....albeit i don't think anyone would want to be hit with them...

I love my new shoes!! :) Every girl needs a pair of scary shoes to keep away scary boys....just kidding. They are pretty BA, though, i must admit.

"I choose you, Pikachu!" I originally had on my elephant necklace but opted for Pikachu...haven't worn it in a while.

Did anyone else play Pokémon Yellow?? I always found it so annoying when Pikachu would follow me places!! I'm not sure why....maybe because he was such a grumpy pants until about halfway through the game and his moods fluctuated after all. I always like Charizard and Dragonite. Blaziken is pretty sweet, but that's generation 3.

I'm on an indie kick atm...but i really like this song. My friend sang it in the talent show her senior year of high school a few years back....so pretty on uke!

And i like the message....it doesn't matter whom you love. I'm not a hippie (and i'm not dissing them either, i promise!!) but isn't love supposedly universal? It doesn't segregate based upon race, age, or orientation.

That's my speel for the night. Enjoy Ingrid Michaelson's pretty voice and have a lovely night. I'm off to bed with Mr. Hippy and Harry the stuffed cat. Yes, i sleep with stuffed animals. I sleep better clutching things to me...

I'm not that girl

I absolutely love this song from Wicked....

But that is not why i'm choosing to update...again. I know, i'm absent for a few days and update twice in one day! Sorry...

Ever have those thoughts you want to put down and they make completely logical sense and sound truly ground-moving/marvelous/insightful/<insert other nice word> but when they're shared they make you sound like an idiot or just a bitchy person. Hmm...perhaps this concept in itself is insightful.

Shirt: Vert de Rooe (bought on Eurotrip); tank: OPI; capris: AE; headband: Austrian Claire's

I'm asking myself....what happened to that girl? ...the girl who used to fight for the best grades, never gave up, passionate for all that she did (even those things tried and failed such as knitting, for which i just had no patience for anything larger than a Barbie blanket), full of ideas from an over-active imagination, and full of heart and courage?

I think she's still in there...

I guess sometimes i need to just listen to myself. I say to never let go of your inner child yet i seem to have lost mine at the mall so to speak.

Young lady, get back here!

Yes, i'm being silly....but i guess what i'm saying is to remember how adament you were long ago...when adulthood seemed like such a mystery...when you knew working your ass off was the way to an A on that spelling test so you could compromise with your 'rents to let you do something...

Flats: Nine West

Take that devotion to life and feed your curiosity. Let your imagination loose. Make a bucket list and do those things you wanted to do when you were little (within reason, of course!!).

Be happy with yourself again. We're honestly our worst enemy sometimes...too hard on ourselves...well, i know i am and i can't be the only one!

Buy these awesome PokéBadges and be like Ash Ketchum.

That seems like so much!

But....tomorrow is going to be beautiful! Breaking out the new shoes!

*Update: this is monumental....i did not burn my popcorn(!) I can cook....but popcorn is a tricky bugger.

Pinterest Addict

Yes, yes, i've joined the Pinterest craze! Jordan invited me on Saturday and i've been going at it since! I'm not an expert by any means....especially since i wasn't even sure what exactly the heck the thing was til i joined buuut i do love it! Although, it made me change my Facebook to Timeline version...le grrrrr. No matter...i'll do it for you, Pinterest!

The past couple days have been busy...i promise i haven't been on Pinterest the whole time! I came back to school on Sunday after church and then had a meeting and realized i had some reading and other homework i had forgotten to do on break!

But...this was what i wore to church on Sunday!

Cardi: Forever 21; dress: Hot Topic; leggings (borrowed from Jordan): Aerie; sandals(!): Old Navy

Jordan and i went with Fajer to his and Mum's church to watch/listen to her play handbells and accompany the senior choir with her flute. Soo pretty. Then we booked it to Jordan's church for the service and went home for some delish lunch. Mmmmmm

We then were total girls and i painted our nails whilst we watched America's Next Top Model: British Invasion! I love love love that show.

Oh goodness, it was simply so beautiful outside yesterday! Buuut i was back to having English class so i was inside til 4pm bleh. Twas a bit chilly in the morning, hence the tights but those came off when i got back to the room so they could enjoy the spring air.

Cardi: Land's End; skirt: American Rag; tights: Worthington; flats: Old Navy

The highlight of my day was finally receiving my spiked shoes in the mail!!! I was getting antsy....i saw Alyssa from the ordinary peoples wearing them and fell in love with the BA things! Plus free international shipping is pretty flippin' sweet.

Brrrrr tis chilly in my room now but must get my bum to the gym at some point before showerlunchclass. Mushed together because that's usually how it goes...

I was highly ambitious yesterday so i'm down to only a few macro problems and my English presentation to do for today! I feel accomplished...school fever. What has gotten into me?? haha

Have a lovely day today and enjoy the fresh air!

Sooo meaty!

Currently watching The Soup with my Sissy...ooooh how i love Joel McHale. In my Sissy's words: he's such an asshole but he's so funny.

My thoughts exact.

Jordan (my Sissy) and i ran some errands today and then visited Grammie. And now we're awaiting baked spaghetti for dinner! mmmmm real food...aka not school food.

It snowed today but that didn't deter me from only wearing a blazer as a jacket. I don't usually dress for the weather. I see it as my discomfort if i'm not warm/cool enough and it doesn't really affect others. Please don't take that as me being a snot about it! Simply seeing it in the logical sense...dang eyeball. Fleck of something (most likely mascara ugh) in my eye! :(

Necklace: my Nana's; t-shirt: men's fruit of the loom; jeggings: AE (i'm totally loving them...);
shoes: from last year's band show

I have so many bags that don't get shown since i put everything in my jacket pockets at school.....my i wanted to show my nails, too. No, they're not that impressive since i'm rather mediocre at nails, but they look so pwetty! Sissy brought me new nail polish.

Threw on a necklace i hadn't worn in a while....statement jewelry is fun against basics.

Time to give my undivided (loosely used here) attention back to The Soup and Joel McHale...

Enjoy the rest of your Friday evening!

Dear baked spaghetti: Get. In. My. Belly.

Crime and Punishment

I had to read this Tolstoy novel the summer before senior year...blah

Today was one of those days where i wear something around the house, only venturing outside for the mail. Seems to be the norm for break...

Heidi Ho and i had a nice sleepover, watching the hilarious What's Your Number with Anna Faris and Changed Up with Jason Batemen and Ryan Reynolds. The former was hysterical; the latter was funny at times but i found rather cliché with the whole change-up storyline....still fun movies to rent.

I made brekkie for us and Heidi Ho left so i played piano for a while before Lovely came over to listen before we took a much needed nap.

Tank: Strawberry; shorts: Old Navy (my sister hates these shorts!); tights: Worthington

I kept it simple with the jewelry...just my basic daily bracelets and my diamond studs. I like wearing my nice jewelry when i'm home since i leave most of the behind when i go to school.

My poor tootsies are still recuperating from walk yesterday....but luckily, my sneakers are well padded so late night workout wasn't too painful on them. I can't say i loving working out per se, but i do love the endorphins from doing so...pushing my body to become stronger and challenge itself.

As my wrestling coach used to say:
"The human body can withstand 100x the human mind will ever let it."
    -Jeff Aveni

A bubble bath was a niiiiiiiiiice way to end the night. Time for a bit of shut-eye before morning workout. A few days late...but i'm back on track.

So i say to you: get out there, be your own motivator, and reach your goals!
