Breaking Hallows

No, this is not a real movie title...wouldn't that be a strange movie? One in which Edward meets Harry? *shudder* I love the books...and R.Patz...but some things should not be mixed.

Anywho....it was, sadly, a pants-wearing day.  White skinnies today. Decided to mix prints: polka dots and leopard print! I can't wait for my leopard print low-heeled booties! I picked them out for Xmas.

Hmm...perhaps blue tank underneath is a little too much...but leopard print was just not long enough for my pants and looked funny without something.

My poor, poor Steve Madden gold flats are falling apart. Oh, poo...it just means they've walked a lot of places. They are loved.

Yes, yes...fashion faux pas with wearing no pants. No real pants, anyways...but i had worn pants long enough today....and all i wanted to do was curl up....it was night of a movie and a candy bar.

Yet another day of raining...although i managed to keep the massive rain-stain off my pants today by the fact that i am not wearing pants today!

Today marks a conglomerate of days....Pearl Harbor, my Grammie's birthday, Billy's birthday, Hump Day, and of course, no pants day.

Happy birthday to my wonderful Grammie!

I called Grammie to wish her happy birthday...rather lucky i got a hold of her when i did. She's quite popular, especially on holidays (counting her birthday a holiday, naturally). I love her long time and can't wait to visit on break!

Awkward as an awkward thing on an awkward day. Wearing no pants out of celebration for no pants hump day. Wearing my Fajer's leather cuff again...seriously, you may hate it (it's not the most delicate or dainty of arm décor) but i absolutely love it because it was Fajer's.

I layered a lace vest over my the H&M dress i wore for church over Thanksgiving break...added a hot pink belt and this hot mess was ready to go.

No need to curse and swear..."mean" sums it up nicely. Du bist gemein and that's just fine. Carrying on with my evening...snuggling up with Theo the Kindle and having another roommate bonding night.

Naturally, i acted like a goofball when Nate was playing with my camera...smart alec. It was a pretty great night...filled with delish hors d'oeuvres (marshmallows and chocolate, oh my!!) and some real food (at this point anything not served from the dining hall seems like "real food") and dancing! I wore my sparkly Madden Girl heels, rightfully christened my "Katy Perry shoes."  Grab yourself some glittery shoes and make your day.

Bare with me....trying to recall the highlights of my weekend. This weekend was much needed...as i'm sure you've caught from my tendency to vent a little this past week...not good, not good.

Surprise birthday party for my Sissy's friend Billy was epic. He walked in, turned on the light (we were sitting in the dark), we yelled, and he turned and walked out the door. I think we scared him...a difficult task to do.  He loved his highly inappropriate cards. I say inappropriate, but for him, quite appropriate. He loved it.

Sorry for blur! My phone doesn't have the best camera and Ranger was feeling active.

I saw my ferret nephew!! Sleepover with Sissy and all three RH's: Radar, Ranger, and Ryan, the first two being two ferrets with completely different attitudes.

Then off to Gramps's to freshen up and head over to Christmas concert on campus...phew...

Perhaps all this excitement accounted for me not hearing my alarm this morning. Woke up at 9:44...missed my 9 am class...ripped my beltloop trying to hurry into some pants...just barely made it German class on time.

But. I. Made. It.

Didn't look too bad considering i had 10 mins. I'm reading a novel for the first time in a while....going to curl up on my unmade bed now :)

My nails are painted CQ's Halo Beige. I feel ready for Tuesday...just need a candy bar.

I embrace myself....again

Physically embracing myself today as opposed to metaphorically the other day.

Thursday was just not my day this week....recovering from the presentation today...

Ever have those days...*ahem* presentation days *ahem*...where you're just so nervous you have to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes...but really you don't have to use the bathroom? Why must i get so nervous over little things?? Hmm...guess it was the mental weariness creepin' in.

I had to look profesh and dress smart for the presentation...but out of haste did not take pic of outfit before hastily leaving for quick lunch (unhealthy, btw, but who's keeping track today??) and off to practice for presentation before actually presenting. Phew....

Or rather, i love my Pop Pop and miss him oh-so-much...thinking of him everyday and feel more close wearing his sweater. Miss you, sweet sweet man...

I Fancy Myself.

Today i'm in one of those crazy moods...i'm sure you know the kind: hyper, exhausted, a little stressed out, trying to keep it together...oy vey....

Business project due tomorrow....need to print 55 pages....conflabbit, the computer lab workers may hurt me....

I realized i had a run...well, major run in my tights...at that point, i just went with it, too lazy to change. They didn't look that bad...i just love this tights so much!!

Gotta get my butt in gear...meeeeeow.

I Embrace Myself

I've been following Olivine's Charm School for a while, and today one of the posts really...inspired? ...me.

Check it out...but the gist of it is to starting thinking positively of yourself, something i haven't done for a long, long time. My dirty little secret one could say...

Today...I Embrace Myself.

My quirks...my general weirdness...at times, short temperedness...impatience...
All of those things i don't like about myself...that's ok.
I'm not perfect. Far from it.

But as i've told my Sissy (many times, might i add [and i just did]) that your imperfections make you perfect.

New shoe clips from Charlotte Russe. I clipped them onto the sides of my rainboots to go for dinner...twas pouring...if i were Mary Poppins, i would have been swept away :(

And after my micro class, i threw on my sweatpants...then quickly shorts because it is soo warm in our building! Not normally one for sweats, but it seemed appropriate given all i wanted to do was curl up and work on my business project. Almost done!! Presentation on Thursday :)

They are brown velvety material with pink bows and i have fallen in love with them again!

Brown's not my usual color...but they are super soft and oh-so-comfy.

The Hols

This is what i wore Tuesday....long day of getting everything packed and going to class and heading to my Sissy's work before we started the 2 1/2 hr ride home...

Of course, i wore a jacket over this...and had an umbrella for the downpour.

It's been a crazy hols so far...ups and downs of stress and homework and being loud and obnoxious with my Sissy. I cleaned out my room a bit, though! I feel accomplished...as well as finished some homework and caught up on sleep a bit.

Felt as though i broke my kneecap this morning. Our bathroom door is quite hard against bone...and i'm quite clumsy...

Oh, happy belly full of chocolate pumpkin muffins :)

1 day down, 1 to go

Going into this week, i knew it would be relatively short being as it is only two days, yet it seems to be quite long indeed. . . . i may get 8 hours of sleep tonight! That is a very exciting thought indeed....

I still have yet to pack. Oh my.

Tomorrow is another day...full of promise. Perhaps. At least full of delicious home food.

My roomies and our honorary roomie had a nice mini fashion shoot today with our dresses to break up the stressful day we've been having...oh, so much to do, so much to do yet.

Laundry and homework in the morning...class, appearance at class...homework, go to Sissy's work, homework, homework, homework til we go home.

Throw in a shower in there....too tired tonight. I shall sleep well at least.

Hello, Beautiful

Today was so pretty out...despite it being November, in my mind i'm still expecting it to be niiiiiice out. Sun. Slight wind is acceptable...no snow -_-

Shoveling will be my winter break workout...honestly, i love to shovel!!! Yes, yes, that is strange...but i don't like running. I'm really bad at it...and look funny doing it...but i can shovel like there's no tomorrow! haha

Oh how i love the messy hair! My hair's growing out...hmm i guess it's not so bad...just brush it and go. Good thing messy do's are perfectly acceptable on windy days!

I love mixing prints...navy&white polka dots with black&yellow floral tied together with black belt. Finished off with my boots (they're great when i don't want to wear pants!) and feathers.

I do what i want.

I think my inner child is coming out...i hated pants when i was little. Especially jeans! They were just stiff...i couldn't "roughhouse" as my Grammie B would say. Free spirit haha

Although based upon that, i'm not sure why i love tights now...i absolutely deplored them when i was little!!

Hmm...lovely relaxing Sunday. Can't wait til break! Corn nuggets!

NYC!

Oh, how i've missed the city :)

We had 9 hours to ourselves in the city and it was incredible! I was soo excited to see the Naked Cowboy yet again...oooh baby! ;)

I'm going to need a good long sleep to recover from all of the excitement...but it was well worth it.

Just realized that bus is from a company from my hometown...

As you can see, I made many friends ;)

Happy Feet Two! Can't wait to see it over break with my Sissy!
