V-Day

"Two for you, Glen Coco. You go, Glen Coco!"

Yes, that was for candy canes, but it could be for Valentines, hence appropriate for this context.

Speaking of Valentine's Day....it's not so bad being single. Singles don't have to share their chocolate with anyone :)

On a more upbeat note, like the C an octave above middle C, I haven't fallen down any stairs today! Or received anymore papercuts....those hurt! ...which reminds me that I need to put some band-aids on the two I have. Hello Kitty band-aids! I have a Yoda band-aid on my knee.

Cardi: Land's End; pink tank: New York & Co.

Curled my hair for shits and giggles. Switching to heels for dinner with Sissy and Jess...Katy Perry heels.

Received a package from my Mummy!!
She sent me this bracelet and my magazines and a card from Fajer and Reese's Pieces.

New song!! Well....new to me anyways.

The song that was in my head was "Wash that Man Right Out of my Hair." It's from a musical my high school put on when I was in elementary school. Great song to say the least....I'm not sure if that's the title or not. I just remember that line and it's stuck ever since.

Marvelous, simply marvelous.

Less than two hours....as my guy friend keeps telling me, knowing how I feel about tomorrow. Yes, I'm weird....I don't recognize Valentine's Day as a holiday. No, not because of some sob story about being dumped. I feel it's too commercialized....hell, that's the basis of the holiday now.

Ok, ok, enough of that before someone thinks me a cynical person.

Today panned out fairly well. Issues worked themselves out and it's a happier atmosphere.

Decided to go with leggings today...threw on pants and I just wasn't feeling it

Sweater: vintage; tank: AE; belt: Forever 21; leggings: Aerie

New ring! Aldo

Today was a fairly good day...busy, busy, busy. Tomorrow shall hopefully be less so...albeit I have some homework to accomplish and need to get to the gym in the morning before class.

Good night! I'm off to an early sleep.....

Intimidate, dominate.

I've been contemplating on the label of "intimidating," one that I've been deemed many times by many people. Isn't that a compliment? Isn't it good for people have a sense of awe, respect, slightly pee-your-pants fear?

Hmm...I goof off and joke around, but perhaps the visage of appearing pulled together at all times even when I'm about to explode is intimidating. I'm ok with myself. I realize that perhaps (damn, I say that word a lot) it is a way of compensating with being a woman. Reading books, one often encounters those strong female leads, but many other sniveling and sobbing women. I don't want to be dependent on another; is that so bad?

It's important to be able to separate feelings and reason. I may do that too much...but it's my subconscious (or maybe not so subconscious since I'm aware of it) that is afraid to be seen as frail, weak, a doormat.

Silly fears....I may have a few self-esteem issues (who doesn't?) but I have pride, albeit too much at times, and confidence in abundance. Oh bother...

On a happier note, I love pretty underwear. It's a confidence boost! When you feel like poo or if you've had better days, put pretty undergarments on...they'll make you smile! The little things must be remembered to get us through the day :)

Weekend Getaway

This weekend has been truly great....I feel ever-so-much happier simply being away from campus for the weekend. Friday was a long day...Monday shall be fun as well since it's the same schedule meh :P

But today was a really good day: late homemade brekkie, homework accomplished, and the rest of the afternoon/evening spent shopping! Oh, how I love shopping...and I picked off the rest of my nail polish. Nail polish OCD. Yes yes, it is terrible for one's nails but they'll soon be pacified and refinished (sounds like a hunk of wood) to a nice sheen and shine.

Friday called for a skirt. It was that kind of day...the kind where one must wear something that will make them smile. i.e. a skirt.

Last night the alarm went off at 1:45.....brrrrr. Someone had pulled it for shits and giggles -_-  We waited outside, made it to the bathroom before heading back to bed when the alarm went off again. We walked back upstairs....we were just about to fall asleep, and it went off again. Not happy campers.

Shirt: AE; Skirts: Candy; belt: came with skirt
Looking not-too-shabby for hardly sleeping much...hover between conscious rest and sleep.

Fresh Hello Kitty band-aid; Stockings: Betsey Johnson; shoes: Old Navy

We learned the word for "band-aid" auf Deutsch! Pflaster! I was so excited, I made sure to use that word in the little dialogue we had to make up.

Jess and I made it to her house and had delish chicken parm, played Just Dance, and headed to see The Vow! They had a Star Wars display...naturally, I had to get a picture after the movie, which incidently was amazing! Yes...I'm a bit of a sucker for romance films. There was blood, though...nice balance :P

I look like a goober. Shopping day outfit! Mixing prints and just going with it. This flannel shirt is super soft and comfy....I'm a bit sad to be going back tomorrow. On the flipside, I really need to properly remove the remnants of nail polish on my nails! They look......bad.

But shopping today was fun! I was in my comfort zone...the mall. And went to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time. So yummy...but tum tum full and content. Chicken enchilada and Reese's peanut butter and fudge cheesecake....mmmmmm

I'm a sleepy bunny.

Curling up with Harry the cat and drifting off into a fitful slumber.... :)

Lovely Day

The day started off quite well....got up early, went to the gym with Jess, had a nice lunch with friends, ethics presentation just about killed me, complimented at work, yummy dinner, productive with homework, swam 950 meters in the pool(!) and came back to pack...

Meh.

Time for sleep...tomorrow shall be a long day, fully of class and work. At the end of the day, Jess and I are heading to her house for the weekend :)

Hobey ho!

Edge of Glory

Happy no pants Wednesday! Also happened to be the day it decides to snow and be ridiculously nippy noodles....

I love browsing clothes online....even if I have no intention of buying anything since I'm quite particular about the fit.

I'm trying to calm down. It's only the hump day of the week and my nerves are shot hmmm. Perhaps some hot chocolate and gym therapy (not at the same time!) are in order. I feel as though hot liquid and moving objects around me are not a good idea....

Hello Kitty band-aid = BA

It's been a tiring day....running about and accounting exam (my balance sheet balanced!!) albeit my macro class was cancelled and no English until Friday (conference tomorrow meh).

I went for a swim with Jess and feel so nicely fatigued....catching up on Gossip Girl before hitting head to pillow. Getting up for gym tomorrow morning before ethics presentation :)

better be...Gryffindor!

My ethics prof had on a tie today that reminded me of Gryffindor...along with his gray striped suit jacket, I was in a little geeky dither. I had Harry's sorting rolling in my head as soon as I saw the colors..... :D

Today was a pretty good day.

Oh, and I found another bruise on my leg...how did I manage to receive a bruise on my thigh that is not only deep purple, but swollen as well? Oh, dearie, you're quite the looker.

I look soo sleeeepy! Perhaps I'm a bit fatigued....mental exhaustion

Tunic: Victoria's Secret; skirt: Nollie; belt: off a dress; knee-highs: Forever 21; boots: Mia II

Currently watching NCIS with some friends....need to study some terms for accounting.

Monday

I read my Macro early today....I read about private investing for the Chunnel, or Channel Tunnel, connecting London to France.
Twas a busy day...but no English class due to conferences. phew. Relaxed and took a nap.

I have pics of yesterday's outfit!

I saw Sissy and my "big brother" yesterday! Super Bowl Party at Billy and Nicole's. FUN :D Naturally, I worked on homework...accounting. But I had to finish my work....meh.

Big brother gave me Boba Fett shirt! I had made him a sweet shirt with a gummi bear holding a gun on it. He loved it.

It was quite lovely today...no need for a jacket. Blazer served well....here's to a continually warm(ish) winter :)

I received two letters in the mail today! Well...a Valentine from my bestie Heidi and a letter from Lovely. Twas nice to receive something hand-written...hand-written notes take more time and effort. Call me old-fashioned buuuuut it's more endearing.

A hint of lipstick to finish it off....sweet arse.

I felt BA today. Probably look better in this last pic than I did in person haha. So be it....Sometimes it's ok for one to think themselves pretty.

Off to bed....sleeping in tomorrow :D

Weekend Warriors

No, not the band. I only know one of their songs...Caught up in the Cycle. Off subject.

Jess and I have had fun this weekend, chilling with friends, and I watched the original Exorcist movie! Creepy. To say the least (yes, that's a fragment)

I've been working on homework and writing poems....and having fun in general. I feel happy, content. I'll be seeing my sistora later today, as well as Big Brother!

No outfit pics yet....but I do have pics of Teddy! I realized I have over 100 pictures of Ted on my phone. No big deal.

Charlie Chaplin chic

Teddy truly is a sweetheart. He is Lovely's cat...but I love him like my own :)

Since I was feeling creative, I'll show my earlier creations :)
I made these before I left for school....they're so much fun to make!
All one needs is fabric markers, t-shirts, and some type of stiff cardboard to hold the shape of the shirt so it doesn't bunch whilst you are drawing.

Rawr! It means "I love you" in dinosaur.
Hipster.

New poem! Well, three...but I'll share one.

look for me in flowers,
see me in your tears.
hold on to my smiles,
the ones you've known for year.
hear me in all laughter
and feel me in the rain.
remember how we once felt
to help you through the pain.

I generally don't name my poems....off to write more. I simply cannot do accounting on a lovely such as this. Super Bowl later with great people :)
