Yeah, I guess that's my church

Two days. Two concerts. Several great artists.

Part of Sissy's 30th birthday prezzie in April was a screenshot of the tickets purchased to see her all-time favorite artist: Keith Urban. She's met him, seen him countless times, and this time, he was taking the stage again, and with Maren Morris and Brett Eldredge.

Girl has some pipes! Played my faves and some I didn't know :)

Mr. Eldredge had some great visuals, but nothing over-the-top, keeping the show primarily about the raw talent he possesses. Strong performance!

Oooooh yes! Sissy and I were singing/screaming along when he took the stage.

Stupid boy...my sissy's favorite song and his concluding piece.

I love the hype at country concerts. {Hate me if you must.} People are typically quite pleasant, a bit rowdier, and overall makes for a great time.

The next night, Superman and I were Baltimore-bound to see one of my all-time favorites: The Pretty Reckless!

They performed at the Rams Head Live with openers: Them Evils and Holy White Hounds. The room was packed with people, but we managed to get some decent floor space and had a lovely view when Taylor took center stage.

My gurrrrrl!

Superman and I were a tad bit tired the next day, but all worth it. Taylor put on quite the show and I was feeling good in my attire, dressed to the nines for this babe.

Looking forward to future adventures as I've missed Baltimore!

Flowers and shell-shocked kittens

Temporary halt on production....

Anticipation is mounting with the start of classes starting this week {have I mentioned how excited I am??} and also a bit sleep-deprived from all of the excitement of the past few days off. Hello, Breaking Benjamin & Disturbed!

Returning home from the long trek up to Niagara Falls, a little nap was needed, plus some snuggles with the babies before I went in for work on Monday.

It's always so tough to go back to reality after such a lovely time away...how do you combat these reluctance to come back from cloud 9 of wanderlust?

Coming home to a bouquet of flowers and a note after running errands certainly helped! {perhaps less, or even in-, significant to some, but as I had never received flowers from a boy before.....}

Combined with these lovely roses, to tackle the onset of wanderlust blues, I've taken on a new warden: Superman and his grandfather found a kitty mumma and her kittens. This particular one made the mistake {or perhaps fortune} of being captured. Newly Christened "Theo" received a nice, long bath to rid him of dirt and debris and yucky fleas and then promptly took a nap all snug like a bug in a warm, cozy rug.

....this was after he screeched like a velociraptor and hissed so emphatically that he >popped< at the end like a big bubble. Poor thing sure was frightened and quite confused about everything and anything near him.

>what the hell is you doing to meh?<

<what is that thing in front of my face, large object restraining me?<

Eventually, he stopped hissing at me and making me jump....

>what are you doing, hooman? why are your lips on me?<

Theo is like many men: the key to their heart is food.

Little tiger was hungry and wouldn't eat from Athena and Loki's bowls so I hand-fed him to win his little heart over. Loki and Athena play so hard together that they didn't spend much time on whom they viewed as a little foreigner to them.

Hidden, fed, and {thank goodness} a quick learner at using the litter box, Theo was A-okay while I continued my time off with a crazy night of music in Virginia with some fun peeps.

Blurred lines of chaos and pure bliss - oh, how I've missed the rush of a brilliant rock show! Truthfully, I was a little bummed I missed one of Small Town Titans local shows whilst I was out of town as they seem to be occurring so infrequently as of late since they returned from tour....

...however, Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed {and a PokemonGo-entertained car ride to Virginia with some kickass people} was a fantastic show and I was quite thrilled to have been invited along ^_^

Here's to more adventures, rock shows, and kitty tales {tails}!

March Madness Friday Favorites

Love is but a chalise
Only filled with broken dreams,
Varying ever so with
Every twist in its stream...

Strange...I've written much poems, yet this is the only one I've memorized. Probably because it's short haha

This are looking up; I was skeptical after the ups and downs from this week. There seemed to be great ups [plans made and potential plans in the making] and great downs [terrible presentation and stress over figuring out everything for study abroad].

Chin up, girl, need to stay strong!

Pep talks. I'm good at those. Maybe I should add that to my résumé. I've much practice giving pep talks to not just other people, but myself as well. I'm a whirlwind of motivation and ambition but everyone needs a pick-me-up.

Hugs are wonderful. I'd love a Mummy-hug. One of my favorite things...the way she can envelope me in her arms and make me feel like the world isn't such an evil place...

The campus nurse informed me that I am 5'5". I feel like I should have that changed on my driver's license now....I'm still rather short, but hey, I'll take that extra inch!

One of the cutest things I've seen in a while

We had free Rita's this week!! The first day of spring certainly did not seem so....'twas bitterly nippy noodles! Waiting in line at 8pm in the freezing cold was worth it, though.

Jack the cat taking a snooze

This week I got in touch with an old friend! He and I haven't spoken since we were about 3 or 4 when his family moved far far away to Michigan....isn't that neat, though?

And I've been listening to a lot of country during the past few days...eh...not like me AT ALL, but figured I'd get into the mood....I do like a few country artists, such as Carrie Underwood and Hunter Hayes, whom I shall be seeing on Monday!!

Ready for an escape....run away from any problems that cannot be fixed academically...I'm good at that. And why is there so much about love in country songs??

Monday I shall be presenting my dialogue about my perfect day en français and there shall be Sriracha involved. Here's to busting my butt and reaching my goals!

But on a sad note....My Chemical Romance and The White Stripes broke up :/

No sadness, though...
Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

Walk me down the middle of the county fair

Hey y'all! ......i hate that word.

Buuuuut tonight was Lovely's first country concert :)

We saw The Band Perry at the good ol' county fair. ....oh, my giddeons, it was incredible!

Lovely had a good time....as did i, until he had to leave for work. Poor guy....miss him dearly. Much like sleep.....i miss sleep. I shall be getting to bed soon and getting a lot of zzzzzzzzzz's

What does that even mean??? I don't understand the "zzzz's" and how they represent sleep. Hello, Google.

But that shall wait until tomorrow....after a nice morning run :D  For now, sleep awaits...mmmmmmm

TIght pants, bowtie, and a blazer

Row 5, baby!!

Ryan from Hot Chelle Rae rocking this look at tonight's concert:

Lovely was the one who realized it....but the bass guitarist above was walking around fair last night and we kinda ran into him in the passing-by-really-close-to-a-stranger-in-a-cramped-area way. ......oooooooooh

Dress: Forever 21; clutch: Betsey Johnson; heels: ALDO

Originally planned outfit....sorry, Lovely. Those heels worked well at the football game i attended during fall break but not for this type of concert....ok, perhaps i was a tad overdressed. Should have worn pants....twas nippy noodles afterwards.

Warning: do not take me to a legit rock concert as you will be either embarassed or shanked. Or both. I'm not so rock-n-roll....

The concert was pretty great! Lovely and i arrived and walked around for a bit beforehand....seeing people we love to see and others we would rather not.

What living in a small town has taught me [as well as living away from small town]:
  • One never does become accustomed to the smell of cow poo. It is disgusting.
  • High school really is the best four years of many people's lives...it is sad.
  • Along with that, some people never grow out of high school...let the past be.
  • Everyone knows everyone's business. . . .or rather, thinks they do.
Hmmm....in correlation with my past posts on honesty, i find myself to be fairly honest with my opinions. I'm not always right, and i'll admit that. I told Lovely just tonight he was right on a matter. He is right that many people are irrelevant to my life now. They were mean, i didn't stoop to their level; i've moved on, they're stuck in the past, therefore irrelevant. I'm not going to sugar-coat things nor will i spread nasty rumors.

I'm strong-willed, sharped-tongued. But in general i try to be a nice person. I wish that everyone would make a conscious effort to simply be a nicer person. I'm not a hippie, but why make everyone else's life miserable just for fun? That doesn't sound like my cup o' tea.

....speaking of fun. 5th row at Hot Chelle Rae concert, anyone?! I was super excited haha and most of the attendees were shorter than we so we could see pretty well!!

Hmmm seem to have lost count of how many concerts i've attended this year. No, no, no, please don't think me bragging....i've never been out this much haha maybe i'll actually be cool someday. Pretty sure my 10year old self was cooler than i am...Having Pokémon at this age made you a hero.

She's the girl that no one ever knows...

We the Kings!!

They're one of my favorite bands....and Lovely and i got to see them again at Warped Tour 2012! 3 1/2 drive to Buffalo, NY was a bit long, especially so early in the morning...but worth it.

Yes, i'm a bad girl. I took off work to go to Warped Tour.

I am a sleepy bunny after all that...Lovely let me sleep on the way home. We made it home around midnight or so and we both took showers [at our respective houses] then fell asleep....as much fun as it was, that shower felt pretty damn great. I prefer my peppermint twist bodywash to other people's bodily fluids [sweat, i hope....cringing at the thought of anything else].

Soooo much fun. But sooo sleepy.

Breathe Carolina was pretty good...especially since it was on the main stage and therefore had seating and shade. Saw a few others, got a weird tan, and sweated like cwazy. Ah.....

Officially a VS Angel VIP now! Hmmm....maybe this should tell me something about my spending habits....i just like nice undergarments. No judgment for that.

As soon as Lovely is done eating, it'll be time to see The Three Musketeers and snuggle...which seems contradictory as it is an action movie but we're both fairly spent. Both of us woke up niiiiiiace and early for work this morning ;)

Here is my Vans trucker hat. I don't think i'm cool enough to get away with such an accessory...

7 is a magical number.

Please forgive my scary eyebrows. They're a bit overwhelming atm and these pics have just informed me of that.
