Sunday....blah.

Yes, how original. Creativity spent on reflective English essay. Eminem on right now, feeling gangsta and angsty, caught up on assignments....what a day.

It's September 11, however, so here's to those who fought and lost their lives...despite its flaws, America comes through in times of need.

Honestly, I just want to go to bed now....is it normal to be so damn tired? Mental exhaustion....good grief. No one wants to read about that. I'm boring myself just typing these sentences.

WTFU! Wake the f up! Ok, ok, gangsta. I'm chill now.

Shirt: International Spy Museum, Shorts: Old Navy,
Pikachu necklace: childhood keepsake, Bracelets: the usual....

Nice face. Twas a conventional, boring as sh*t day, therefore a conventional, boring as sh*t awesome outfit is called to offset the mundane-ness of it all...bright shorts! Pikachu doing the hangman's jig! ....even, *gasp*, eyeliner. Laundry day, why not feel cute?

New shirt!
I managed to keep quite sane despite the amount of reading I did....I just want to feel pwetty sometimes. I wish I had German homework to do. I honestly enjoy that type of work...maybe a minor in German is a possibility? Ach, ja, du Schlampe! Don't take that personally...dammit, I miss German class. Or rather, Frau's German class. Take that back....I don't miss German IV. Not difficult...simply not the best environment. So hostile! So dumb!

My complaining is done now :)

Auf Wiedersehen! Watching August Rush with friends then I need to catch up on some zzzzz's. And hopefully no more nightmares with a boy whose name is in my last name and one of my sister's former loves :/  awful awful sleep...no wonder I'm in this sporatic mood. This song sums it up....Crazy B*tch by Buck Cherry.

(Using astericks because it looks so much nicer!)

What a CAPITOL idea

Today I went to Washington, D.C. with my college....so much fun! Great way to meet new people, see the city, and of course, shop a little bit...I love it, I love it, I love it. Don't judge me....I love clothes and wearing them and just looking nice.

Ok, ok...pictures!

Only realizing this now...I wore red, white, and blue; how appropriate!

Love my transparent Liz Claiborne purse :)

And now for the good stuff...

3 floors!
In the same building as Forever 21

International Spy Museum

Other side of the International Spy Museum

Madame Tussauds's House of Wax, D.C.

Washington, D.C. was an incredible experience...despite the construction throughout the city and the slight issue in which an individual was temporarily lost.....c'est le vie.
UG dance at midnight!

This Friday Night

The sun is shining and the puddles are recessing! Minimal homework and plans for tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night. Great week :)

Still saddened slightly by the death of the animals at Hershey Park Zoo America but hoping no more animals will come to harm...

Classes were delayed two hours so extra sleep was niiiiiice amazing most definitely needed! I felt like being "fancy" today!

Shirt: Old Navy (little girls), Skirt: Forever 21, Watch: Wrestling Watch,
Bracelets: Coexist and Empowerment
Star Wars handtowel under the red bowl :)

That shirt hanging up? Oh, yes, that's from two days ago...you know, from the day it downright poured and I didn't take an umbrella...it's still damp. It's that cool? Conflabbit. Oh well....water conservation alert is off so I can finally do laundry! Yays! Oh, and look at my skirt...it's cute. I love its heart-shaped pockets!

Steve Madden shoes!

I am a goony.
Watching Cash Cab then going to see "Unknown" at 8 tonight....Washington, D.C. tomorrow!! Must wake up early then ride for four hours....but Ima be a spy tomorrow at the Spy Museum. You may see me creepin' about....

School's Out for the Flooding

Last night was normal....watching Phantom of the Opera, eating popcorn, swearing like a sailor of the shisty Verizon service and internet problems, and the excitement that we would have a two-hour delay due to the rain (although I was quite profound in my ascertain that we would not have class at all).

...and what do you know, we don't have class today! And I was finally united with my English book for which I had been waiting a while...and homework is damn near completed for the next few days. Oh, the joys are working ahead...I love it, I love it, I love it haha.

For looking like crap today, I sure am in a chipper happy convivial mood! ....although we may be losing power soon so I'm trying to finish this post before that occurs. Good thing my DS and Kindle are charged so I'm all set for recreational purposes.

Darth Vader and a Wicked smile. Boys section at Wally World
for all your nerdy love needs.
Apparently the town has become an island and there is no coming and going for a while...I need a boat. Or the Force. My metachlorian level has been dampened from the rain. Haha get it, dampened? ....sense of humor is lacking as well.

Anyone Care for a Swim?

Dear Irene, I thought you had left already? Not one for sweatpants, going as far to say I'm someone who cringes at wearing sweatpants in public, but that is what I ended up putting on after I had my cute little outfit planned and being silly enough to think it wouldn't rain that hard....light blue turns transparent when wet! Who knew? -_-

Button up: Old Navy, Tank: PacSun, Shorts: Rue 21 (DIY buttons),
wrestling watch
You know those days when you just feel cute? Well...it is Wednesday, therefore it is Hump Day so that alone makes it even better....exceedingly better than, say, Tuesday. I don't like Tuesday...but Wednesday is usually a pretty good day. Until you forget neglect to bring your umbrella to class and end up looking as though you took a dip in the river in your clothes! Lesson learned...no matter how anti-umbrella you are, they can be useful...but only when you don't wade through giant puddles. I think that defeats the purpose of keeping you dry?

I look more awkward than a non-smoker in a London pub...or someone drinking hot chocolate at Starbucks. Actually, I'd fall under both of these awkward categories...I'm craving some hot chocolate right now. Some chocolate milk would be nice, Double Chocolate NestlĂ© chocolate milk would be delicious. Or a chocolate croissant from JFK Airport or a pastry with semi-melted chocolate in it from Panera Bread. I'm hungry!!! I may drown in the rain :(  Good thing I'm not Elphaba...(I was looking at the Wicked website)

I wanted to show off my cool earrings :)
Wouldn't call them vintage per say (they were my Mummy's).

Oh! And came across a really cool blog...the author is really quirky and has wit!

Appropriate.
Jenny-in-the-Rain.jpg
More along the lines of how I looked earlier....leather school bag and all (although
nowhere near as chic and warm!
Now I must try to stay dry....a nap may be in order before take-out from the dining hall.

Manic Monday, you say?

They say Monday is a horrible day, but honestly, I'm not a fan of Tuesday...

It has been pouring off and on, and though not being an emotional weather vane for, well, the weather, I must say it is just not the most happenin' day around here. It's Tuesday and already have enough assignments to last an hour or two (or three) and yet I'm just not feeling it...

So.....thank goodness for something productive like updating my blog! Haha. At this rate, I'll have finished my work and possibly get ahead in no time! .....key word is possibly. I was productive this morning and woke up early to go to the gym at least...something I should do more often.

Rain-soaked sweatshirt: PacSun (water not included)
T-shirt: Aerie, Jeans: Angel (from ninth grade or so)
Wrestling watch, Coexist and Empowerment bracelets

I am wearing...a sweatshirt....and jeans....but I like to think my watch offsets it quite nicely and the ri-donk-ulous ring on my left middle finger.

Multi-functional boots...yes, yes, I wore them yesterday, but the Wellies simply weren't cutting it for me. I love my Wellies but it's just...not...the...same. These give me about another inch. Shorties like me understand...

Aren't I cute? Eh....look at my awesome ring! It's from my friend who was my bandfront "Secret Santa" last Christmas.

Look at my pretty headband! Ignore the general creepy nature of this picture.
Headband: Ulta

Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day to all! .....eh as fascinating as the history behind it is, I shalln't go on and on about it and spare everyone the details. If you haven't lived under a rock all your life, I'm sure you have the jist of the holiday down-pat.

At LVC we got to go to class, yays! And learn, yays! And get homework, ya....no.
I love German, though, so it's all good. Is that so weird to love another language?? Not really....not sure if I've mentioned before (bare with me...) but to be frank, it's pretty awesome to be able to speak another language (providing one can correctly speak their own, something most Americans cannot seem to do). Oh, America....but that's another matter. Point being, languages are fun! There. Done. Point made.

Old Navy tanktops, Old Navy skirt, Worthington tights

Wore a jacket to class because it was quite chilly inside....hmm great thing about college? No dress code. I'll wear a tanktop and freeze my ass if I'd like...or rather, wear it under a jacket. But for all intense purposes, picture shows without jacket because I wasn't quite feeling the chill. Yet.

I'm not very good at photography. . . .but the lighting looks pretty sweet. No editing involved :) Yays! I'm learning something! Enough of that...bed and work out in the morning.

Labor Day Picnic!

Family Day! Woot woot! My cousins were face-painting...oh, my. Love my cuzzies :) They certainly keep things interesting. . . .

My Sissy's right...I do slouch really bad... :(
And I took the booties off so I'm short...this isn't right!
But look at my awesome Star Wars belt from Wally World's little boy's section!

Back to school and just updating blog and checking emails and getting some last minute things together before shower and sleep!

Sissy and Googly took me back to school and we seemed to drag sooo much stuff up! Oh, well...more clothes means less laundry but more food means...more time at the gym! At least we have a rug now in the main section of our room...quite frankly, our room is HUGE. Not that I'm complaining...it's quite nice.

Sleeeeeepy.

Dear Lovely:

Such a Lovel-E Saturday

I was able to sleep in (til approximately 8:37) this morning for a little bit! Unfortunately, it decided to storm really, really hard right then but in a way, fortunately, since I had not heard my alarm go off....wah.

I hung out with my sister and we spent close to 2 hours in Ulta, which is simply fabulous!! And this coming from a girl who is not real into make-up besides the basic concealer, mascara, and eyeliner (lipstick occasionally, but not gaudy, niiiice with a touch of lipgloss). I must say, I can make my lips look very nice after the brief lipstick/lipgloss + chapstick method my Sissy taught me...

Nom nom nom, love my milk!
Only if it's chocolate, though...
on our shopping trip, I bought Hershey's chocolate milk for my dorm!!
Button-up: AE, Lovely's :)
Tank: Worthington's
Shorts: Bubblegum
Purse: Louis Vuitton (my awesome yardsale find!!)
shoes: Nine West

Coexist, new Empowerment bracelet (mine broke and was lost shortly before school :/ ), and bracelet from my Sissy.

Sooooooo excited! Aside from food from Giant and a cute headband from Ulta, I found a sweet speed suit from Checkered Past. Description: "You know that girl in the awesome speed suit? Oh, yeah, that was YOU!" Priceless.

Mini-Vacay

Staying at Nana's house this weekend...annual Labor Day picnic/family reunion!

It's always nice to see my family and catch up and watch all the little kids run about...

Silk tank, bullhead jeans, Nine West sandals.

Oh, shisty lighting in dorm room...you suck.

(Practically) new booties from Aldo! The bright side of having of a big sister!

Plain Jane Nerd

Striped cropped pants and a tank are quite the dress down for me...but I woke up at quarter til 8 so I wasn't in the mood for all out dress.

However....had three of what are probably my favorite classes, or at least the three to which I was looking forward the most. Scratch that...I was looking forward to German. Yes, yes, international studies is fascinating and certainly a close second and English should be pretty great, though I was skeptical given past English classes, German is my passion. I find other languages simply smashing and the ability to speak them highly relevant and inspiring. Good grief, I sound utterly ridiculous right now.

Quite frankly, that's clean for my desk so far....absolutely love my briefcase. It feels so official.

Headband: Austrian Claire's store, tank: Victoria's Secret, cropped pants: AE, flats: Steve Madden.

Can be quite tricky to find a place for a full shot...

First Day of Class...

Official college kid now.

The hair of the girl on my shirt almost looks like a scarf....shirt from Charlotte Russe, skirt from Forever 21 possibly, Coexist bracelet.

Already my desk is overflowing....can hardly see my desk calendar to write down assignments....luckily I know where everything is! As was in my bedroom, I'm messily organized. If that makes sense.

Love my sandals...but started giving me blisters :/  Running barefoot in the room for now....
Must read some microeconomics...wishing the reading was on Spartans like our class was today.

Manic Monday, I got this

Another day in the college "real" world....
More advising today along with convocation this evening.

Decked out in dress casual for our convocation ceremony...
MM couture dress, vintage gold belt, wrestling watch, striped Keds on for now.

A little close-up. Gatorade behind me.
Being an international business major, I'll have to dress up a bit every day of work...can't wait!
Off for a walk....then a couple updates on the blog since I'm no longer stuck in my hometown for the summer, blah blah blah whatever else I had written.
Oh, and need to recycle the bottles and can accumulating on  my desk.......

Anticipation

Waiting for yet another orientation meeting...so much information to process...too bad humans can't have an external harddrive to store info...

Listening to the cd Lovely gave to me right before departing for Nana's...

Tis raining again but luckily, I remembered to pack my rainboots, albeit a bit muddy before going into the car...I'm sure my Mummy was pleased about that one.

Not too shabby looking today...all set for the rain today.
AE gray cropped sweater, American Apparel tank, no boundaries leggings (yes, from Wally World!), and rainboots from Wally World as well. And coexist bracelet.

Only 45 minutes until next activity...I'm quite anxious for classes to start...

Big Bad College Kid

Yesterday was move-in day...plus a whole lot of planned activities! Surprisingly, my clothes and shoes fit in the closet; I hadn't brought along as much as it seemed. Of course, that justifies either bringing more from home or shopping...or both.

There was a hypnotist show and I was chosen (possibly due to my excessive jumping up and down like a looney, although in my defense, he had said he would pick the most enthusiastic). It was crazy fun and one hell of a laugh!

Unpacking...oh, where to put everything...
Star Wars shirt, polka dot shorts, red belt, and COEXIST bracelet.

More advising today...more fashion perhaps...more freezing in the ac and hurricane rains.

So Full of Wisdom

Had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday morning...went surprisingly well, not as looney as my sister had been although I don't remember sitting in the recovery chair that long.

After Lovely filled my prescription and we went home, all I wanted was a freeze pop...and I couldn't eat the dang thing! Conflabbit!

Oh well...

So, I've lost some weight already but constantly have the munchies. Had about 3 bowls of the jell-o Lovely had made (he's ever so sweet and thoughtful :D ) and was able to chop up some pasta noodles after I ate my pudding and cooled scrambled eggs. Woke up at 4 a.m. still hungry haha.

I just want a sandwich.

The Beast Unleashed

Tomorrow I shall be getting my wisdom teeth removed so I shall be incompetent and look like a chipmunk for the next few days....real pretty. But it simply must be done....blah.

Packing is such a bore...taking a break by reading new college books. Once a nerd, always a nerd.

So far...two Victoria's Secret bags full of clothing and a partially filled crate of shoes. I shall not be limited to 10 pairs! ...slight obsession with shoes, I'm aware...

A smile makes it go more quickly... :)

Taking another well deserved break from packing...
