Valleyfest part 1

Goodness...in a few short hours i'll be up setting up for more fun Valleyfest events.

I feel as though i had a whole monologue semi-prepared in the shower...now that i'm here, well, it's gone up in smoke.

But tonight i had the chance to meet Ross Matthews and it was awesome. His bestie loved my Pokéball nails btw. That's with what i'm starting... English sounds so silly sometimes when prepositions are used correctly. We're so used to speaking incorrectly :/

Don't we look adorable? Someone asked during the Q&A if he would be their gay husband, or gusband. Do you think he'd be mine?

Put on my Valleyfest shirt...not a t-shirt person but supporting my group. Tomorrow's attire involves a camouflage orange staff t-shirt. Sexy? Not particularly...but rocking my Pokéball nails and some striped shorts ;)

<insert expletive> I'm not sure what exactly is so appealing about it....random thoughts floating around my head.

God's Day Off

That is the title of my most recent paper....recent as in i just finished it literally two minutes ago. It's a research topic paper in favor of the choice in abortion. Please note that I use "choice." I believe that no matter one's ethical views on the issue, it is still a woman's choice. That's all I'll say on the matter...leave you to your thoughts on that matter.

Have you ever tried a Prezi presentation?? They're so much fun! I'm using that for my English presentation on aforementioned topic. Haven't used it since last year so hopefully i don't totally mess things up....

These past few weeks shall be busy busy. Classes wrapping up, accounting quiz tomorrow for which i haven't started studying. oops. ValleyFest this weekend! More on that later...

 I made my head-band by following Kinsey of Sincerely Kinsey using this tutorial. Yesterday i skipped the overhead piece in favor of just the simple band. Pretty hippie/boho vibe...with leopard print shoes. I love Steve Madden shoes.

I painted my nails! First attempt at using tape as a buffer to make shapes...not too shabby. I got the idea from Pinterest. I'm not about to open my own nail art business anytime soon, but my limited skills are serving their purpose for me...

I'm just excited i finally found a white nail polish that is opaque! Pure Ice Superstar :) [brand&name of nail polish]

Today i rolled my red skinnies and rocked my I <3 Nutella shirt that i had shown in a previous blog. Boring, perhaps....i was in a hurry this morning. excuses, excuses

Yesterday i donated blood so i put on a band-aid over my hole this morning.

Oh goodness....i feel productive today! Ethics is done, English paper done, German is done, accounting....need to study, macro is done. Woot woot!

Off to work on my Prezi presentation now.

S'mores in the cabbage patch

Happy birthday to my beautiful older sister! Jordan and i are having a sisters' date at her favorite restaurant, Houlihan's, in Hershey! Going to be fat kids and eat a delicious meal and s'mores for dessert! Mmmmm

My sister, despite her flaws [no one's excempt from those, conflabbit], she's truly amazing. She has a downright hilarious sense of humor and shares many of the same likes...our fashion style may differ [she's the All-American beauty/girl-next-door/timeless, where i'm more the "trendy" one who mixes prints like i have 80s swag], but we're tighter than a brand new Pinger i.e. hair-tie.

I look up to this strong woman...figuratively. Sorry, Sissy, i'm the taller one! She's a triple threat....brains, beauty, and brawn. No, i'm not selling her off for an eHarmony ad. Trust me, she doesn't need an online profile. Although...you'll find this beautiful scientist in the lab ;) haha just kidding, just kidding.

Eyebrows are annoying

Guten Morgen! ...or rather gute Nacht. I was in desperate need of some tweezing this morning...goodness, how does this happen?? One day they look niiiiice, the next it looks like cousin It threw up on my face. Not literally. I swear i'm not that hairy! Eyebrow maintenance is a necessity (even Chewbacca has nice arches) albeit a pain in the bum. Above-the-eye skin.

I feel like a walking American Eagle advertisement. No, not as tall or slim or pretty as their models, but i was sporting AE top and bottoms...i guess that's it. i.e. that's a lot for me.

P.S. my sandals are from Gap.

Today it was in the mid-80s woo! I got a little bit of color...i haven't been feeling the best the past few days so my vampire tan was accentuated immensely. Jess told me i looked extra vampire-y with my crimson lips haha

Hmmm...sometimes i've wondered what strangers think about me. I'm sure everyone has thought that from time to time, but bloggers especially wonder. Do i have a bitchy convinction in my tone [look at me pulling out all of those AP English terms!] or do i sound like a country bumpkin?? Hmm. I swear i can be tame. ish.

I'm a sweetheart at heart and love to make people smile. Yes, i am quite concerned about my grades and set high standards for myself, but that doesn't make me so strange, does it? Hell, even if it does, it feels natural to me haha

It irks me when people change themselves for others....extreme cases, i mean.

Be yourself. Love it. Be happy. Eat some cookies and get your blood sugar up. Wait...that's what i need to do. Maybe not cookies, but a little dark chocolate.

How was your Friday the 13th?

Mine would have been better had my knee stopped bleeding.....well, stopped earlier. It finally stopped! :D

I cut it shaving yesterday and soaked a washcloth and towel....took the bandage off this morning and it started gushing. That's not a good thing. For some reason, my blood would not clot!! It finally stopped, hoo-ra!

Oh, goodness...yesterday was not a good day, albeit a productive one.

Glitter! I put gold on my ring fingers and thumbs and silver on the others.

This was part of my brekkie this morning. Nutrional, i know! I was actually a little lightheaded this morning....hmmm perhaps too much blood loss? Dang cut.

I finally went to the nurse....and i looked a little ridiculous haha. That is the consequence of being a clumsy person. My cut finally scabbed over!

I had a lovely day! .....i just wasn't very amused haha. Had two exams. Can you see my enthusiasm for the day ahead?? Deutsch war nicht so schlect, but macro...i kept second-guessing myself. Some nerves are good, right? I find a little bit of nerves to be a good sign, but too much....not so much.

I may be a little grumpy pants tonight because i have so much work piling up from the past two days, especially today. Merde.

Buuuuuuuuuut "21 Jump Street" is hysterical. Definitely recommend it! :)

What a terribly terrible day.

Mini vent coming on; please bear with me.

Almost late to Deutschklasse; didn't do as well on my accounting exam as i would have liked; accounting final on different day than on syllabus, a Saturday instead of Friday [why Saturday?!]; NeverShoutNever concert is that day....fuark; two exams on Friday [deal with that, i can]; my computer dang near crashed [thank goodness for Lovely and his magic voodoo computer skills]; phone almost died trying to talk to him to figure it out; trying to get a room for next year was crazy.

Phew. That felt niiiiiiiiiice. Thank you.

Lovely really is magic with computers. And people starred at me and were talking about me. That's not very nice. Just be nice. It's a rule in our room.

Hmmm....i'm calm now. Jess and i picked out our room for next year and it was one of our top picks :) that stressor is done.

Vintage skirt from Checkered Past! I shortened it a few inches over break. It's adorable and i love it, but pleats are a pain...so worth it! Took this belt off of my blue/white striped dress. Hmm....perhaps i'll wear that dress on Friday. Need a confidence boost. My hair is losing its red sheen. Poo.

I'm ready for bed...

I was such a goonie kid...and my sister was gorgey as ever. This was sixth grade for me and her first year of college.

Sixth grade spring dance...she helped me get ready and her friend Sam did my hair :) we've had such fond memories and i must say, she's one of my best friends. Remember how i said it's a good thing to have more than one best friend?? Sometimes one needs more than one...it'd take more than one person to keep me in line. Trust me, my mummy's tried haha

I love my Sissy with all my heart...yes, i gush like a 5 year old.

.....and i could damn near pass for 15 :P

Goodness, what a blistery day.

Back to my routine...my clothes are still setting on the extra bed since i haven't mustered up the energy to hang them. Yet.

Sissy gave me some swag...jewelry. I love her style. My nails look strange. I had gold glittery smothering them in a pretty way. It doesn't sound very pretty at all, and it was a pain in the arse to take off, but it looked lovely. I didn't like the texture, though :/ 

Ready for no pants Wednesday tomorrow!! No....that does not mean going nude. No pants Wednesday is for shorts, skirts, dress, kilt....no pants! Leggings are not pants, but they shouldn't be worn as such either. Leggings and a tunic, ok; leggings with a normal-length shirt, not ok. Cover your tucus.

Time for love making....aka dark chocolate meets peanut butter!! Mmmm how delicious! I had a yummy sandwich with leftover Easter ham. Missing my Mummy's cooking already :/

I have some procrastination to end...starting classes again tomorrow afternoon. Goodness, only a few more weeks left of my first year of college!
